P-Tex repair with a tune, for minor scratches and damage to the base, using the Wintersteiger BaseJet or Wintersteiger Drip P-Tex will fill and rebase the bottom of the ski or snowboard, the additional service fee will be added to the service ticket. 

 

Base Repair:
$10.00/inch
Base repair with a tune, for core shots and major damage to the base of the ski, using Grip Weld will increase durability and avoid cracking and chipping out, calculated by length (inches) of the base repair.

 

Extra Grind:
$15.00
Grind repair with a tune, for skis and snowboards that are excessively base high or edge high, requiring additional grinding and/or flattening to bring the ski or snowboard to a flat surface, the additional service fee will be added to the service ticket.

 

Extra Wax:
$15.00/layer
Extra Wax with a tune, for maximizing saturation depth, durability and effectiveness of the performance wax, multiple layers of wax are applied to the ski or snowboard.

Foothills Ski Life offers a seasonal tuning program to athletes looking to keep their equipment in tip top shape while also requiring to be on the snow weekly. If signed up for our tuning program, you will gain priority for services with our facility making sure that skis are tuned up within a short time frame. An average season can cost anywhere from $550.00 to $1,750.00 a year to maintain a single comp setup depending on how oftern you get your gear into a shop. And athletes can spend anywhere from a multiple hours a month to a few hours a week just tuning up their own equipment.

The cuff canting adjustment (lateral tilt of the cuff) enables the skier to tune the boot geometry to specific leg morphology. The objective of the canting adjustment is to reach the skier’s most natural stance on their skis, allowing smooth and easy engagement/disengagement of the ski edges.

Custom Liner Molding:

Custom Liners are designed to provide a unique feeling and custom fit to any ski or snowboard boot. From heat moldable liners to foam or cork injected liners, these custom liners ensure that the customer's equipment is modified specifically to the individuals foot. There are many options out there on the market, some coming stock with the boot and others are purchased seperately, including Intuition, BootDoc, ZipFit and others.
  
Custom Shell Molding:

VACUUM FULL FIT enables a complete fitting of the shell through VACUUM 2Zone for maximum individuality and optimum fit. In Fischer's VACUUM FULL FIT process, the shell is heated to 80°C before you step inside the shell with the boot liner. The Cooling and Compression Pad is put on and the standing position is fixed. Fischer has developed the VACUUM Station especially for this purpose. It is the heart of the fitting process. Compressed air is used to shape the entire boot ideally to match the foot – and the boot retains this shape once it has cooled down.

MULTI-LAYERING WAX:

The more the merrier. When you apply multiple applications of wax, you will dramactically increase the durability and saturation of your ski's bases, this in turn increases your speed and will allow you not to run dry during multiple runs throughout the day on a iced course. Plus with multi-layering you can have a variety of layers of wax on the skis that will make a difference between the starting gate, mid mountain sections and finish line zones.
